Customer Requirement

  • The workpiece such as the straight gear spline shaft of variable gears can be processed by using the hobbing cutting method; as well the straight gear shift and straight gear can be performed by the hobbing machine; and the cone spline and stage gear can be machined; 
  • In order to provide a parameterized operation interface for the user, and the user can select the machining program such as the column gear, cone gear, turbine and drum-shaped gear based upon the workpiece, and then input the parameters, for example, tool, workpiece and technology and feed times; the system will be automatically produced the machining program instead of any program commands;
  • The hobbing shaft can be transformed into the servo motor drive and can be carried out the machining of any gear numbers; and it uses the dedicated hobbing command to achieve the linkage hobbing gear. The machining gear number, the workpiece rotation speed and machining depth of the gear can be set by the simple program commands; 
  • The processing program can be operated which has been completed last time after the power is turned on again (Firstly perform the rough-cutting, and the power-off, and then continue to perform the fine-machining after the power is turned on).

Troubleshooting

  • Modify the system’s software version into V1.6 EGB-GR.3 20190828;
  • There are four axes, such as the X, Z, A and B, which are regarded as the servo controllable axis. A is controlled to the workpiece rotation axis; B is controlled the hobbing rotation axis. Achieving the exactly rotated relationship and revolving speed of both A and B axes, as well the gear-hobbing of the gears by using the hobbing command G181 when processing. X is the radial feed axis of the gear, which is used for controlling the radial positioning of the gear-hobbing. Z is the feed controllable axis of the axial gear, which is used for controlling the movement feed along with the gear axial direction;
  • The motor shaft and machine spindle does not the 1:1 driving ratio due to the hobbing shafts of the hobbing machine have the external gear ratio. The hobbing function should be continuously machined the same workpiece after the power is turned off, and the hobbing shaft should be oriented at the same position, therefore, the 2nd position encoder or zero-return switch should be installed. This customer selects to install the zero-return switch. 
  • The directions when zero-return and shaft movement are performed that should be coincident with the machining direction, because the hobbing shaft and revolving worktable have the reverse interval; so that the zero positions of two shafts will not be deviated after the power is turned on again.
